The Ingram State Technical College (ISTC) is part of the Alabama Community College System, fully accredited by the Council on Occupational Education for over 40 years. The College was established by the Alabama legislature in the mid-1960’s for the sole purpose of providing job training to incarcerated students.
The Dean of Administration, Dr. Brannon Lentz, reached out to Shoals Works | Web Design during his research to find a design firm to update the college’s website and ultimately selected us to take on their redesign project.
Dr. Lentz and his staff came with a clear vision for their redesign project. The project was well organized from the onset. Our development staff received the majority of their curated website content prior to the project start date and in a timely manner during its buildout. The development website was approved by all stakeholders quickly, which allowed us to launch the newly designed website inside 30 calendar days.
Project Features:
- All Programs offered by the college are now displayed on the website
- Employee Resource center was redesigned to give quick and reliable access to information, documents and email
- Website now has a simple and effective process to post news and events
- College Foundation: PayPal Donations and AmazonSmile integration
- SSL certificate installed
- Google Analytics and Google Search Console installed
- Mobile-ready design that was tested across a multitude of browser platforms
